Boasting a Retro feel akin to those Irish pubs back in Belfast, Mdm Cheapo quipped that this is Singapore's version of an Irish pub. Presenting, Foo's house- A Hainanese Gastro Pub!
The Picardy Monster Beef Burger ($16.90 + $1 for each additional
topping) (Bacon,
egg, caramelized onions and mushroom). 220g of pure beefy goodness, with a nice charred smoky flavour from the maillard reaction. Easily the best burger in the east and amongst my top 3 in Singapore.
How can we come to a Hainanese pub without trying the Hainaneses pork Chops?
Pork Chops are crisy with a juicy centre. The Tangy tomato based sauce reminds me of my mom's home cooking. Very good.
Fried Mars Bar. FRIED. MARS. BARS. It was sinfully good. Hot fried Sticky Mars chocolate with Ice cream. Need I say more?
